At first I approached neurofeedback training with some scepticism. I wanted to form my own opinion of the method, though, and so I decided to take the training course at the Academy for Neurofeedback. My computer skills are limited, which was another reason why it took some effort to get started. During the course I was positively surprised. The method can be applied very broadly, it fits well into everyday practice and, in my view, is an excellent complement to the established forms of therapy. At last a method that rests on a proven scientific basis and gives me concrete, measurable results. Patients and doctors alike welcome the method and take it up readily. Cooperation with the doctors has become more concrete and more of a partnership. The majority of my patients respond well to this training. I am sure that the method will make further great progress in the years to come.

I have been working successfully with the MindMaster EEG since December 2008 and have been able to widen my patient base as a result. I use neurofeedback training above all in treating children with ADHD, and for that reason it has become indispensable in my daily practice. The clear and appealing graphics mean the children find their way around from the start and take part in the training with motivation. What I like most is how easy the software is to handle and that I can monitor the artefacts to ensure the best possible therapeutic outcome. I also appreciate that a software update is made available at regular intervals (for a fee), so that the neurofeedback training always meets current standards and the therapy can be optimised.

We have been working with Mindfield’s neurofeedback training for 12 months and consider it a very sensible and forward-looking addition to ADHD treatment. The software and the devices are very clearly laid out, easy to use and suited to everyday practice. The training screens are clear and well organised. The animations and their range could be developed further and made more interesting for children. We use both the software and support subscription and the franchise subscription. For anyone who intends to work with neurofeedback training in the long term, this is worth recommending.

I have had the MindMaster EEG for 8 months and I am delighted with the device, the software and the therapy. The software makes it easy to get started with neurofeedback therapy, and even someone without great computer skills can operate it well. I have been using the MindMaster EEG in our practice for about a year. What I find positive about the device is how compact it is and that, thanks to its simple handling, it can be used quickly and flexibly in a busy practice. I also like that the wide range of settings can be used across very different areas.

I have been using Mindfield’s neurofeedback programme in my occupational therapy practice for some time now. It has widened our treatment options considerably. Our patients with ADHD in particular benefit from this approach, above all those whose difficulties did not improve sufficiently with concentration and strategy training programmes. The programme is clearly laid out and transparent and offers many ways to vary and shape the treatment, so that sessions can be tailored to the individual patient.

By now all 9 members of staff across my three practices work with neurofeedback, and with enthusiasm. We are seeing results, particularly with many psychiatric patients as well. Last week I gave a neurofeedback presentation to a child and adolescent psychologist, whom I was able to win over for the method.

I have been working with neurofeedback and the MindMaster EEG since the end of 2008 and I am thoroughly convinced by the method, the device and the software. I completed the full training at the Academy for Neurofeedback and also took the new, extended courses, which enriched and deepened my work. At first I used neurofeedback mainly in the area of ADHD; by now I also use it with patients suffering from migraine and tension headaches, with great success. It is worth keeping up with current research findings and exchanging experience with other users. To that end I organise a working group once a month, which at times brings together up to 20 therapists from the region for a lively exchange. The continual software updates keep bringing new and improved possibilities, and together with good support this is one of the great plus points of Mindfield.
