BfMC Biofeedback Motor Control

BfMC Biofeedback Motor Control GmbH is a German manufacturer of computer-supported test and training machines based in Leipzig. Since 1997, the company has been developing CTT systems (Computer Test & Training) for musculoskeletal biofeedback in prevention and rehabilitation. While BfMC covers the biomechanical-motor domain, Mindfield complements the spectrum with psychophysiological biosignals – together, both companies represent the full biofeedback spectrum.

CTT Technology: Computer Test & Training

BfMC develops eight specialized CTT systems – computer-supported test and training machines for targeted diagnostics and therapy of the musculoskeletal system. The systems are based on two core concepts:

  • Body Balance Control: Balance diagnostics and training via stabilometry platforms
  • Body Power Control: Strength and movement analysis of individual muscle groups with real-time biofeedback

CTT Systems (Selection)

CTT CENTAUR Lumbar spine muscle trainer
CTT PEGASUS Spinal muscle trainer (3-D system)
CTT IKARUS Shoulder mobility rehabilitation (3-D system)
CTT ATLAS Stabilometry platform (balance)
CTT TITAN Leg press
CTT PHOENIX Neck musculature

The devices weigh between 150 and 550 kg and are designed for stationary use in rehabilitation clinics, sports therapy centres, and prevention facilities.

Complementary Biofeedback Approaches

BfMC and Mindfield represent two complementary domains of biofeedback. Together, both companies cover the full spectrum:

Biomechanical + Psychophysiological = Complete Biofeedback

BfMC (biomechanical) Mindfield (psychophysiological)
Strength, movement, posture Skin conductance / EDA (eSense Skin Response)
Balance, stabilometry Heart rate variability / HRV (eSense Pulse)
Muscle strength analysis Muscle tension / EMG (eSense Muscle)
Rehabilitation, sports therapy Respiration (eSense Respiration)
Stationary large devices (150–550 kg) Temperature (eSense Temperature)

While BfMC addresses the musculoskeletal system with biomechanical signals (strength, movement, posture), Mindfield focuses on the autonomic nervous system with psychophysiological biosignals (EDA, HRV, EEG, EMG, temperature, respiration). There is no product overlap – the approaches are fully complementary.
